Do I need to create an account?
No. CompVault has no login, no sign-up, and no password — and it never asks for your casino players-club account. Open the app and start adding offers. Everything's tied to your own Apple ID and iCloud, not an account you have to manage.
Is CompVault free?
Yes. Adding offers by hand, the full 30-day calendar, your free-play totals and milestones, and private sync across your devices are all free — plus 3 free scans to try scanning out. Pro ($5.99/month or $49.99/year) is what unlocks scanning every mailer you get, including whole calendars at once.
How do I add my first offer?
Two ways: scan a mailer to pull the details in automatically, or tap Add manually and enter the casino, offer type, dates, and value yourself. Either way it lands on your calendar and in your totals right away.
How does mailer scanning work?
Snap a photo of a flyer or a monthly offer calendar — or pull one from your camera roll — and CompVault reads the offers off it: free play, hotel, gift, and the dates they're good for. A single offer or a whole month's calendar, it reads them all and drops them onto your board.
Does scanning happen on my phone or online?
Online. When you scan, the photo is sent from the app to our own server and on to a third-party AI vision provider (Anthropic's Claude) that reads the offer details and sends back just the extracted text. Because real casino mailers often print your name and player-account number on them, that information leaves your device when you scan. Our server doesn't keep the image, it's never used to train AI models, and the provider holds it only briefly for safety review before deleting it. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. If you'd rather not send a mailer off your device, you can always add it by hand instead.
What if an offer doesn't scan correctly?
Every scanned offer is fully editable — just tap it and fix anything that came through wrong. For the cleanest read, lay the mailer flat, get good lighting, and frame the offer or calendar squarely.
Do I get unlimited scans?
Everyone gets 3 free scans to try it out. Pro lets you scan every mailer you get, whole calendars included. There's a monthly fair-use limit set well above normal use to prevent abuse — it won't get in the way of tracking your real offers. Adding offers by hand is always free and unlimited.
What does Pro cost?
$5.99/month or $49.99/year — the annual plan saves you about 30%. Pro unlocks scanning every mailer and scanning whole calendars at once; everything else stays free.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled through your Apple ID, not inside the app. On your iPhone go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, find CompVault, and cancel there.
If I cancel Pro, do I lose my offers?
No. Every offer you've added stays exactly where it is. Canceling just returns scanning to locked — your calendar, totals, and history are all still yours.
I switched phones — how do I get Pro back?
As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID, your subscription carries over — tap Restore Purchases if it doesn't appear right away. Your offers come with you too, synced privately through your own iCloud.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, synced privately across your own Apple devices through iCloud/CloudKit and tied to your Apple ID. Your offers live in your private iCloud — we can't read them.
Does CompVault read my email or players-club account?
No. CompVault never reads your inbox and never asks for your casino players-club login. It only knows about the mailers you scan and the offers you enter yourself.
Do you sell or share my data?
No — never. Your offers aren't sold or shared for advertising. The one time information leaves your device is when you scan a mailer, which sends that image to our AI vision provider to read it (covered above and in the Privacy Policy).
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Deleting the app removes its local copy from your phone, but your offers remain in your own iCloud — reinstall on the same Apple ID and they come back. You can manage or clear the iCloud copy anytime in your device's iCloud settings.
A scan didn't read an offer correctly — what do I do?
Tap the offer and correct it by hand — every scanned entry is editable. If it keeps happening, try a flatter angle, better lighting, and framing just the offer or calendar in the shot.
My offers aren't showing up on my other device
Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID and connected to the internet — iCloud sync can take a minute or two to catch up. If they still don't match after that, reach out below.
